We do not sell inclusion. Every submission is read by a person and the decision is about the product. The paid options below buy speed and placement, not a yes.
We publish the text you send. We edit it for length and format and check it against the product, but the description stays yours — so it is worth filling in the template properly.
What we publish
- The product works and anyone can try it. A landing page with a waitlist is too early.
- It does something of its own, not just a thin wrapper around someone else’s API.
- It fits one of the categories in the template below.
- It has a privacy policy that says what happens to user data.
- Something shows it is really used: customers, an active repo, a community, published numbers.
What we turn down
- Products that are announced but not usable yet.
- Anything for non-consensual imagery, impersonating real people, or spam and scraping at scale.
- A paywall in front of a public model.
- Submissions that will not say who is behind the project.
How to submit
Email howaiworksai@gmail.com and fill in the template. These are the fields a catalog page needs — fill them all in and we can publish in days instead of emailing you questions for a week.
Tool name: Website: Category (pick one: Text & Writing, Image & Art, Video, Audio & Voice, Code & Development, AI Assistant, AI Platform, AI Agents & Automation, Infrastructure & Local AI, Productivity & Business, Search & Research, Education & Learning, Marketing & Sales, Data & Analysis, Gaming & Entertainment): Developer or company: Pricing (Free / Freemium / Paid / Open Source): One-line description (max 160 characters): What it does (3-5 sentences): Key features (3-6 bullet points): - - - Who it is for, and what they use it for (2-3 bullet points): - - What it does that similar tools do not: Your name and your role on the project:
Screenshots and a logo are welcome as attachments. Write in English.
What happens next
- We confirm we got it, usually within a couple of days.
- We try the product. This is the slow part.
- If it is a yes, we edit your text into the catalog format, send it to you to check, then publish it.
- If it is a no, we tell you why. Come back when that changes.
Optional paid extras
None of this is required and skipping it does not hurt your chances. Email us and we will invoice — there is no checkout, we handle each one by hand. If you want a placement that is not listed here, ask.
| Option | Price | What it buys |
|---|---|---|
| Express review | $29 | A decision in writing within 3 working days. If we miss that or turn the tool down, you get the fee back. |
| Featured placement | $149 / quarter | Top of your category and a slot on the catalog page for three months, marked Sponsored. |
How this is marked
Your catalog page is a normal page. It is free, it is published on merit, and it links to your site like every other page here.
Featured placement is the part you pay for, so it is the part that gets labelled: the slot says Sponsored and its link carries rel="sponsored", which is what Google asks for of a paid position. It changes where you show up, not whether you show up.
Disclosure
Paid placements and the affiliate links we run are both listed on the affiliate disclosure page.
